The model and TV host chose a Peter Langner Archive creation for the premiere of Un bon petit soldat
For the 83rd Venice International Film Festival, Laura Barth chose to wear Peter Langner on the red carpet at the Lido.
On September 9, for the premiere of Un bon petit soldat, Laura Barth wore a creation from the Peter Langner Archive, personally selected by the designer.
For the red carpet Laura Barth wore a strapless mermaid gown crafted from pearl metallic silk organza and distinguished by an entirely handmade technique.

An Iconic Peter Langner Atelier Technique
The distinctive feature of the gown lies in its unique treatment of the fabric.
Bias-cut strips of pearl metallic silk organza are hand-frayed and individually applied, creating a three-dimensional surface that follows and defines the silhouette of the gown.
The technique is part of Peter Langner’s creative vocabulary and reflects the Atelier’s ongoing exploration of materials, textures and sartorial construction.
The precise, essential mermaid silhouette allows the intricate workmanship of the fabric to take centre stage, revealing different reflections with every movement and change of light.

An Archive Gown on the Venice Red Carpet
Choosing a gown from the Peter Langner Archive brings to the Venice red carpet a creation in which construction and material research come together in an essential dialogue.
The mermaid silhouette defines the figure, while the pearl metallic silk organza creates a vibrant surface that transforms with light and movement. Hand-frayed bias-cut strips, individually applied by hand, add depth to the fabric, making every detail an integral part of the gown’s construction.
A creation that expresses the identity of the Atelier through material and sartorial craftsmanship, bringing an Archive piece to the red carpet that feels as contemporary today as ever.
Our thanks to Laura Barth for choosing Peter Langner for the red carpet of the 83rd Venice International Film Festival.
