The wedding of Megan McKenna and Oliver Burke
June 2025 – Megan McKenna, television star and renowned food blogger, author of the best-selling book Love Gluten Free, married Scottish footballer Oliver Burke, currently playing for Werder Bremen, in a dream ceremony.
For her special day, the bride wore two bespoke couture creations by Peter Langner, designed exclusively for her and her bridesmaids.
The first gown: silk mikado and hand-embroidered details
For the ceremony, Megan chose a romantic wedding gown in silk mikado: a princess silhouette with a voluminous pleated skirt, a sweeping train, and a structured bodice with exposed boning, adorned with hand-embroidered macramé lace roses.
Completing the look was a long cathedral veil with appliqués of three different French Chantilly laces, blended in an elegant degradé effect.
The second gown: essential lines in silk duchess satin
For the evening celebration, Megan opted for a second gown with a more minimalist design: a column dress in silk duchess satin, featuring a square neckline, delicate shoulder straps, and a graceful pleated overskirt at the back.
The bridesmaids: a sartorial echo of the second gown
The three bridesmaids also wore custom-made dresses by Peter Langner: a reinterpretation of Megan’s second gown, crafted in warm chocolate-hued silk mikado—an unexpected yet perfectly harmonious choice for the overall aesthetic of the event.

Megan McKenna’s and her bridesmaids’ gowns were created in collaboration with Browns Bride, a prestigious London bridal atelier and a key reference in the UK bridal fashion scene.
